Mr. Daniyal Akhmetov, who is the Head of the Local Executive Authorities in Eastern Kazakhstan Region, had a meeting with Mr. Conrad Pazgan, who is the General Director of the Polish holding company «Konspol». The information center of East Kazakhstan region reported that in the course of their meeting, they had discussed the company’s participation in the construction of a poultry farm in Urzhar District.

“The poultry market in Kazakhstan has enormous potential. 140 thousand tonnes of poultry from the United States and about 30—40 thousand tonnes from Russia and Belarus are imported In Kazakhstan annually. We want to build a poultry farm with capacity of 30 thousand tonnes of meat in this area and fill this part of the market with our own production. This project has to be implemented because it is important for the region. Some fertile land in one of the regional districts has been allocated for the project,” said the Governor Daniyal Akhmetov.

As the News Agency “Kazakh Zerno” noted and reported, a business plan had already been developed that could be represented and submitted to any financial institution. This document meets all international requirements. According to this business plan, a large part of the construction costs must be taken by the investors. The state will be one of the founding members through the social-entrepreneurial corporation “Eptic”.

Mr. Pazgan said that their company had a wealth of experience in meat processing and expressed interest in the project.

“Our company is one of the biggest in Poland. We produce about 12 thousand tonnes of meat per month, about 150 thousand tonnes a year. We process and deliver our products to Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK and Japan. However, we are also looking for new places and business opportunities. In addition to Kazakhstan, the production will be shipped to Russia, and China,” said the Polish businessman.

According to Mr. Pazgan, they are ready to consider the possibility of building poultry farms with capacity of 30 thousand tonnes per year, and even more.
