The symbolic ground-breaking ceremony marks the start of a far-reaching capacity expansion and modernisation at the headquarter and production site of the knife and tool manufacturer Friedr. Dick in Deizisau. The family-owned company Friedr. Dick has been committed to tradition and quality since 1778 and with this investment, the company is strengthening the business location Germany and is investing in the future of the company. The building measures totalling over 12 million euros will be invested in an extension, renovation and modernisation, primarily in the areas of logistics and production.
„The ground-breaking ceremony marks the start of construction work for the new logistics building, before the production machinery is modernised and expanded. The modern AutoStore warehouse technology will more than double the total storage capacity over an area of 2,200 m². In addition to expanding capacity, the main focus in logistics and production is on digitalisation and further developing the level of automation,“ explains Steffen Uebele, CEO of Friedr. Dick.
