In January–May, Meat Production in Russia Increased by 9.4%

In the first five months of 2020, the volume of production of fresh or chilled cattle meat, pork, lamb, goat meat, horsemeat and venison in Russia increased by 9.4% to 1.2 mln t, according to Rosstat.

It is also reported that the production volume of poultry during the reporting period increased by 3.2% to 2 mln t. The production of convenience meat products increased by 9.6% to 1.6 mln t, sausage production grew by 2.5% to 919 ths t, and the canned meat production increased by 26.8% to 320 mln standard cans.
