On July 1, 2024, Michael Brandt was appointed to the executive board of Weber Food Technology GmbH as Managing Director for Technology. This decision is an important step for the company in order to strengthen the area of technology further and meet the continuous growth opportunities. “The area of technology is at the heart of our growth. New products and the entrance into new markets start right here,” emphasizes CEO Tobias Weber. “Our goal is to maintain our position as a market and innovation leader.” To achieve this goal and continue to develop technically first-class, innovative products, a central task of Managing Director Michael Brandt will be to invest even more intensely in research and development. In addition, the automation and digitization of technical processes should be developed further. “More efficient processes allow us to concentrate more intensively on our core competences, such as the development of new products,” explains Brandt.
The trained automation technician has been part of the Weber Group since May 2017, and initially started his career there as the division manager of Packaging. In 2020, he took over responsibility for technology at the company location in Breidenbach, and has been globally responsible for technology at Weber since 2023. “Thanks to his comprehensive experience and his commitment, Michael is the right choice for this important position and will successfully lead our technology into the future,” Tobias Weber is convinced.
