The launch of the enterprise, investments in which exceeded 3 billion rubles, was observed by Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Alexey Gordeev and Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexander Gusev
At the new Rusanovsky pig farm, part of the AGROECO group of companies, 130 thousand heads will be raised per year. This production volume – 16.2 thousand tons of meat in slaughter weight – approximately corresponds to the annual consumption of 500 thousand people.
The enterprise, launched in September 2026, is designed to support 4,200 sows at a time. Here they use solutions based on the world’s best practices: microclimate and ventilation systems, automated feeding and waste removal systems, digital management tools.
Like all the company’s production sites, the complex has the highest status of zoosanitary protection. Among the innovations are separate routes for transport transporting animals and food for them.
“External transport does not enter the site,” emphasized Vladimir Maslov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AGROECO. – Bunkers are installed on one side of production facilities with animals. The feed truck does not drive close to them, but moves along a special road used only for feed delivery and unloads through extended pipelines. This protects the enterprise from bacteria and viruses.”
The facility has a two-level control system. Employees arriving at work leave personal clothing and shoes, undergo treatment in a sanitary lock, take a shower and change into clean work clothes and shoes, which are washed and disinfected daily. Reception and reloading of zootechnical and veterinary materials is carried out in a dedicated technical area with mandatory disinfection in special boxes.
The animals will be fed feed produced at the company’s factories, where multi-level testing guarantees the safety and accuracy of the recipe. This approach allows you to control the quality and health of the livestock.
A closed production cycle assumes that all technological stages – from insemination of sows to fattening commercial pigs and their delivery for slaughter – will take place on one site.

“An important factor in the development of a rural area is the presence of a strong anchor investor,” Alexey Gordeev is sure. – Novokhopyorsky district is lucky in this sense. Suffice it to say that over 15 years, AGROECO’s investments exceeded 20 billion rubles. The company has created more than a thousand jobs. Pig breeding sites are located far from populated areas: this increases the level of biosafety and avoids extraneous odors. Moreover, AGROECO is engaged in the social development of the territory, participates in the construction of housing for employees, provides support to the Novokhopyorsky Technical School, pays decent salaries and a good social package.”
The launch of the pig farm will create 89 jobs. Estimated tax deductions after the enterprise reaches full capacity will amount to more than 110 million rubles per year.
