In recent years, Kazakhstan has been actively developing its agricultural sector, and one of the most promising areas is poultry farming. In this context, a project planned for implementation in the Kostanay region with the participation of a Georgian company is particularly noteworthy. In response to a request from the editorial office, it became known that the construction of a full-cycle broiler poultry farm is planned in the region, which will be a significant step in strengthening the country’s food security and creating new jobs.
Key aspects of the project
The project includes the construction of several key facilities: an incubator, a slaughterhouse, and a feed mill. This will not only enable the establishment of a complete poultry meat production cycle, but also ensure high product quality through control at every stage – from egg incubation to finished product processing.
The total investment in the project is approximately 40 million US dollars. The opening of all facilities is expected to create 352 new jobs, which will contribute to the development of the local economy and improve the standard of living of the region’s population.
Production capacity
The poultry farm plans to reach a capacity of 50,000 tons of poultry per year, which will significantly increase production volumes and meet growing demand in both domestic and foreign markets. The first stage of the project envisages the production of 12,500 tons of meat per year. This will allow them to gradually increase volumes and adapt to market demands.
Implementation stages
At present, design and estimate documentation is being actively developed, which is an important step for the further advancement of the project. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025, with the project expected to be completed in 2026-2027. The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan has already allocated a plot of land for construction, and investors have received the necessary technical specifications to begin work.
Infrastructure and government support
An important aspect of successful project implementation is the development of engineering infrastructure, including water supply, sewerage, electricity and gas supply. These components are fundamental to the stable operation of the poultry farm and should be developed together with the main construction work.
Kazakhstan’s government agencies actively support the development of the agro-industrial complex, which creates favorable conditions for attracting investment. The project involving a Georgian company is a striking example of international cooperation in this field.
