The Fourth Russian Enterprise Has Been Certified to Supply Pork to China

The Kursk manufacturer was registered in the Chinese information system “One Window” (CIFER) and became the fourth Russian enterprise to enter the Chinese market

Based on the results of the work carried out by Rosselkhoznadzor to open markets in foreign countries, the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China certified Kursk Meat Processing Plant LLC to supply Russian pork to the Chinese market.

The Kursk manufacturer was registered in the Chinese information system “One Window” (CIFER) and became the fourth Russian enterprise to enter the Chinese market.

The export of pig products from Russia to China resumed at the end of February 2024 after the lifting of temporary restrictions that had been in force since 2008 – three Russian enterprises initially received certification. This was preceded by the signing of a Protocol on inspection, quarantine and veterinary and sanitary requirements for pork exported from Russia to China between the Head of Rosselkhoznadzor Sergei Dankvert and the Head of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China Yu Jianhua within the framework of the 28th regular meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China.

Previously, Rosselkhoznadzor worked with the Chinese side for more than 7 years on the possibility of supplying Russian pork to the Chinese market. The multi-stage procedure included the negotiation process, the organization of visits of Chinese representatives to Russia to familiarize themselves with the instruments of state supervision over the safety of pig products, as well as the preparation of extensive materials on all requests from the State Technical Institution of the People’s Republic of China.

Rosselkhoznadzor will continue to work to expand the list of Russian enterprises that have the right to export pork to China.
