“Klinsky” Meat Processing Plant Successfully Implements the Federal “Labor Productivity” Project. PRODO Group: “Klinsky” Plant IncreasesSausage Production by 5%

“Klinsky” Meat Processing Plant has released an interim report on the implementation of the federal “Labor Productivity” project, which was launched at the plant six months ago with the support of the Regional Competence Center. Thanks to the federal project, labor productivity in the sausage production line increased by 5%, while production time was reduced by 10%.

Implementation of lean technologies

In collaboration with the Regional Competence Center, the company conducted an analysis of its existing production flow, identified bottlenecks, and developed an action plan to implement changes. With the support of experts from the regional center of excellence, efforts were made to eliminate waste and establish a benchmark process, in which all factors negatively affecting output, quality, employee performance, equipment operation, and the overall process organization have been eliminated.

“Participating in the project represents a new growth opportunity for the company. The plan for this year is to increase labor productivity by another 5%. Since the program will be implemented at the company for three years, there is potential to achieve a 15% improvement. The key tools that will help achieve these results include standardized work processes, autonomous equipment maintenance, and the 5S system. We place a strong emphasis on employee training to ensure the transfer of knowledge and skills,” said Svetlana Ryzhova, director of the “Klinsky” Meat Processing Plant.

Scaling up best practices and launching new projects
In the final phase of implementation, the plan is to roll out the developed approaches across all production processes. An important milestone in the project’s implementation was the establishment of a project office tasked with initiating and implementing projects to optimize additional workflows and processes throughout the entire company.

The federal “Labor Productivity” project is a comprehensive program of government support for businesses designed to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of Russian enterprises. The project provides participants with free expert support, access to digital services, and preferential financial instruments. Currently, several companies within the PRODO Group are participating in the “Labor Productivity” program: the “Omsky Bacon” meat processing plant, the Ufa Meat Canning Plant, and the poultry enterprises “PRODO Tyumen Broiler” and “PRODO Siberian Poultry Farm.”
